Where Imagination Comes to Life

Bee Morrison is a Scottish artist from Glasgow. He paints and occasionally dabbles in 3D construction.
His identity a closely guarded secret - Morrison works incognito and in the shadows, and his self taught style, is in the most part informed by his upbringing in East Kilbride where he spent a handful of years as a child.

His narrative paintings evoke colourful memories set against the brutalist backdrop of the 1970s Scottish New Town.

Artist Statement
"My creations begin within me and without me.
They are inspired by the point where humankind meets the expanses of nature.
Brought up in Scottish cities and having frequented suburbia of varying sizes, my art derives from an appreciation of a modernist and brutalist urban existence and the calming fluidity of open spaces.
I like to use a combination of bright colour and concrete greys including structural line to capture memories of my childhood."
